Jul 1, 2026
In three weeks, 180,000 Muscovites and guests of the city got acquainted with the exhibition, which featured images of natural and cultural attractions of Russia, captured from an unusual angle.
The Bird's-eye View of Russia photo exhibition, prepared jointly with the Russian Geographical Society and dedicated to our country, opened at the Aeroexpress terminal at Domodedovo Airport on the eve of Russia Day, June 11, and lasted until June 30 inclusive.
The exhibition of 15 photographs from various parts of the country, from Moscow to the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District and the Kamchatka Territory, showed the diversity of Russian landscapes, unique landscapes and architectural monuments. Filming from above allowed visitors to take a look at the Volgograd monument "Motherland calls!", the Sayano-Shushenskaya hydroelectric power station, the crater of the Kamchatka volcano Gorely and other iconic places of our country in a new way.
"A joint project with the Russian Geographical Society has shown that passengers appreciate meaningful leisure on the way. The travelers carefully examined the pictures, asked questions to our staff, and took pictures against the background of the exhibition. This means that even in the hustle and bustle of the airport, people are ready to notice and enjoy the beauty of their country. 180,000 passengers were able to get acquainted with the exhibition," said Vera Agafonova, head of the Aeroexpress press service.
She noted that the company will replicate its experience with educational exhibitions to other Aeroexpress platforms.
The exhibition featured works by participants of the Russian Geographical Society's "The Most Beautiful Country" photo contest.
The exhibition launched the cooperation between Aeroexpress and the Russian Geographical Society. The aim of the joint work will be to popularize knowledge about the natural and cultural diversity of Russia, the results of scientific research and the history of geographical discoveries.
The exhibition was available free of charge to all passengers of the Aeroexpress terminal at Domodedovo Airport during the terminal's opening hours.
