Aeroexpress transported more than 10 million passengers in 2025
Feb 3, 2026
The Company has summed up the results of its production activities for 2025. The passenger traffic of Aeroexpress in the past year amounted to more than 10 million people.
Over 6.4 million passengers were transported by Aeroexpress trains and express buses to Sheremetyevo Airport, and 3.6 million passengers were transported to Domodedovo Airport. The company's share in the market for transportation to the capital's airports increased by 1.0 percentage points and reached 17.6%.
"In 2025, Aeroexpress's passenger traffic continued to grow. This was made possible by the successful implementation of a number of projects, including the launch of a stop at the Lianozovo station on the railway route to Sheremetyevo and at the T2 international terminal in Domodedovo on the bus express route, as well as the active development of the company's customer services," said Andrey Akimov, CEO of Aeroexpress.
It should be noted that in 2025, the company implemented several major projects aimed at improving the transport accessibility of Moscow's main airports.
Last March, trains from Sheremetyevo began stopping at the Lianozovo station, allowing passengers to reach the nearest metro station in just 23 minutes. This improvement in transportation accessibility has benefited residents of seven nearby districts and the city of Dolgoprudny, providing them with easier access to Sheremetyevo Airport. However, the travel time from Belorussky Railway Station to and from the airport remains unchanged at 50 minutes.
Bus routes have also been actively developed. Express buses No. 1185 have started stopping at the T2 international terminal in Domodedovo, and mobile ticket agents have been set up for convenience, reducing the waiting time at boarding. All express buses in the Sheremetyevo direction now have validators for quick and easy payment. "In 2026, we plan to implement several projects in the field of passenger services. We will continue to work on improving the quality of onboard services and expanding the range of snacks and beverages on trains. We will also develop digital sales channels by introducing an AI assistant in the Aeroexpress mobile app, which will quickly generate information about the company, display schedules, offer the best fares, and help you buy a ticket with just one tap. The app will also feature speech recognition," said Andrey Akimov.
In 2025, Aeroexpress also launched several important projects in the field of passenger services:
• A PWA app with offline access to tickets was introduced.
• The validity period of electronic tickets was increased from 30 to 90 days, allowing for advance travel planning.
• The Transport service in Yandex Go now offers the option to purchase tickets for Aeroexpress and express buses.
• Business class passengers received free luggage storage for up to 24 hours and 12-hour access to an online movie theater.
In 2026, the company will continue to develop existing railway and bus express routes to Moscow's Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo airports, as well as passenger services and infrastructure.
