Aeroexpress has updated more than 40 navigation signs since the beginning of the year
Oct 30, 2026
The update has affected the company’s terminals at Belorussky and Paveletsky railway stations, at Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo airports, as well as the boarding and alighting zones at the final stops of express buses and at intermediate stations on railway routes.
Replacing the navigation signs makes the route for passengers to trains and Aeroexpress express buses even clearer and more convenient, especially at major transport hubs where several types of transport operate.
Before updating the navigation elements, Aeroexpress employees personally analyze the “blind spots” — sections of the route where the passenger needs to decide on the next direction of travel. Special attention is paid to the placement of signs and stickers indicating the direction of travel to the airport. It is these that help passengers get their bearings faster.
“When improving navigation, we do not aim to increase the number of signs. Often, it is enough to change the size, color scheme, or location of the current element so that the information becomes more noticeable and is perceived faster. In addition, we take into account the opinion of every passenger who contacts us,” said Vadim Semikin, Deputy General Director and Commercial Director of Aeroexpress.
He noted that Aeroexpress cooperates with the Moscow Metro, the Moscow Central Diameters, and Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo airports in terms of navigation on the transport infrastructure. To ensure maximum convenience for passengers, the company ensures uniformity in navigation solutions and their compliance with the overall concept of Moscow’s transport system. This allows Muscovites and visitors to the capital to navigate using familiar visual indicators, regardless of the mode of transport they use.
Specialized specialists visit Aeroexpress terminals, as well as the final and intermediate stations along the routes, on a weekly basis, and monitor passenger traffic at different times of the day. This makes it possible to identify the most effective navigation solutions.
