Sep 8, 2026
The passenger traffic of Aeroexpress in June–August amounted to about 3 million people; the company’s share of the market for transportation to Moscow airports is 17.5%.
Almost 2 million trips were made to Sheremetyevo Airport, and about a million trips were made to Domodedovo Airport.
“Over the summer, trains carried almost 2 million passengers, and express buses carried a million people. At the same time, August was the most popular month among Muscovites and visitors to the city, with passengers making more than a million trips.” Traditionally, the number of family trips increased in the summer — by 15%,” said Andrey Akimov, CEO of Aeroexpress.
He noted that Aeroexpress strives to create not only a comfortable journey for passengers but also an educational and entertaining environment at all stages of the trip. To this end, a number of special promotions were held from June to August.
Thus, on hot summer days, more than 6,500 bottles of water were distributed to travelers. Passengers on railway routes received free 12‑hour access to the Okko online cinema and the opportunity to exchange T2 minutes and gigabytes for train and express bus tickets. In honour of Russia Day, the company, together with the Russian Geographical Society, organised a photo exhibition dedicated to our country; it was visited by 180,000 people. On Family, Love and Fidelity Day, passengers received 1,500 daisies, which are a symbol of this holiday, and 14 children from foster families attended a tour of the Aeroexpress depot, organized jointly with the Central Suburban Passenger Company.
Throughout the summer, as part of a promotion with the National Payment Card System (NPS), passengers received a 5% cashback on the cost of tickets, subscriptions, and passes for trains and express buses when paying via the Quick Payment System (QPS).
During the summer period, about 3,000 “Traveler Passports” and unique gifts from the company were given to young travelers who were traveling to Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo airports by Aeroexpress trains. In addition, a new children’s corner was set up for young passengers in the Aeroexpress terminal at Belorussky Railway Station.
