In June and July, Aeroexpress passengers forgot 450 personal belongings: 300 items were left on the route to Sheremetyevo Airport, and another 150 were left on the route to Domodedovo Airport. 72 owners have already returned for their belongings.
This year, travelers have been less likely to forget their belongings, with the number of forgotten items decreasing by more than half compared to June and July last year, when employees discovered approximately 950 forgotten items.
Most often, passengers forget everyday items: umbrellas, hats, bags, backpacks, and cosmetic bags. Electronic devices and accessories, such as headphones and their cases, mobile phones, chargers, and power banks, are also common finds.
Among the most unusual finds are a sleeping bag, a child's chair, an animal-grooming machine, a pressure-measuring device, a figurine with the inscription "Happy Birthday", a keyboard, a backpack with construction materials, a bag with window handles, Vietnamese hats, a box with a ship, and an exercise band.
"The most 'fruitful' day for forgotten items was June 13, when the company's employees found 19 items. 18 items were discovered on July 7 and July 10, and another 17 were found on July 15. On June 21, passengers did not forget any items, and on July 3, only one item was found, which is not common in the summer," said Vera Agafonova, Director of Public Relations at Aeroexpress.
To return a lost item, passengers should contact Aeroexpress's hotline or a shift specialist at the company's terminal and fill out a loss report. The company's staff will contact the owner and assist in the return process.
Lost items are stored in Aeroexpress's warehouse for six months from the date of loss. The exception is food products, which are not subject to storage and are disposed of in accordance with current regulations. The Aeroexpress Lost and Found warehouse is located near the Belorussky Railway Station. Items can be retrieved on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. upon presentation of an identification document and the signing of a receipt for the item.
Before visiting the warehouse, passengers must inform the company's staff at least 24 hours in advance of their arrival. To do this, you can contact the Aeroexpress hotline by phone: 8-800-700-33-77 (for calls from Russian regions and mobile phones) or 8-495-663-84-10 (for calls from Moscow).
