Jul 24, 2026
The Company has summed up the results of the first six months of 2026. The passenger traffic of Aeroexpress in January-June was almost 5 million people.
In the first half of 2026, Aeroexpress trains traveled approximately 1.2 million kilometers and transported more than 3 million people. Approximately 2 million passengers chose Aeroexpress express buses, which traveled 2 million kilometers. More than 3 million trips were made to Sheremetyevo Airport, and almost 2 million were made to Domodedovo Airport.
"In the first half of 2026, we transported almost 5 million passengers, and Sheremetyevo Airport remains the most popular destination, with over 3 million passengers. At the same time, our share in the Moscow airport transportation market has increased to 18.1%. We see that passengers value not only comfort and reliability, but also the emotions of the trip: theatrical performances, gifts, and interactive activities for children and adults. This comprehensive approach to service is working, and we will continue to strengthen it," said Andrey Akimov, CEO of Aeroexpress.
June was the most popular month for Muscovites and visitors, with approximately 900,000 trips. On the long weekends and holidays dedicated to Russia Day, Aeroexpress trains and express buses transported 113,000 people to and from Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo airports. On the pre-holiday day, June 11, the company's passenger traffic increased by 19% compared to the weekdays of the month. Since the beginning of the year, approximately 60,000 children have been transported, and family trips traditionally increase during the summer holidays. Aeroexpress strives to create an informative and comfortable environment for its passengers. During the May and June heat, more than 11,500 bottles of cold water were distributed to travelers. For the holidays, people received more than 5,000 flowers and sent 1,500 unique postcards from the company's terminals.
More than a thousand colorful booklets were distributed to children from April 6 to April 12, marking the International Space Day. 160,000 people visited the astronomical photo exhibition at the Domodedovo airport terminal from April 6 to May 3, and another 180,000 people visited the exhibition in honor of Russia Day, organized jointly with the Russian Geographical Society, from June 12 to June 30. In total, 340,000 people visited photo exhibitions at Aeroexpress terminals over the past six months. In the first month of summer, young passengers received more than a thousand "Traveler's Passports," which included unique gifts from the company, such as baseball caps, coloring books, photo frames, and bracelets.
About 100 people took part in the Aeroexpress, Mosgornasledie, and Russian Song Theatre's Victory Day event. 40 passengers wrote the Total Dictation in a moving two-story Aeroexpress train.
