On the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, Aeroexpress and the Central Suburban Passenger Company organized a special educational tour for 14 children from foster families aged 6 to 16 years. It took place at the Aeroexpress depot, which is located near the Belorussky railway Station.
The guests of the event were able to see how the work of one of the modern motor car divisions of the capital, where Aeroexpress and CPPC electric trains are in service, is organized. The tourists were told about the history of the depot, which grew up on the basis of the Ilyich locomotive depot almost 14 years ago, about the maintenance and repair of various types of rolling stock of companies, about the specifics of the work and training of Aeroexpress locomotive crews, and their daily tasks.
The specialized specialists of Aeroexpress and CPPK showed modern trains of both companies: unique double-decker Aeroexpress trains, which were developed according to the special technical specifications of Aeroexpress, taking into account the specifics of transportation to airports, and the branded Ivolga 4.0, designed for the 20th anniversary of the CPPK. The participants of the tour visited the driver's cabin of each of these trains.
"On the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, the children were introduced to the world of railway professions, shown how a modern depot works, and perhaps helped someone decide on a future profession. Today, in our depot, the company's specialists work not only with Aeroexpress trains, but also carry out 12 types of maintenance and repair of CPPC trains. At the same time, our employees are constantly involved in educational activities – every year the depot hosts guided tours for children and youth," said Andrey Akimov, CEO of Aeroexpress.
Ruslan Safin, the driver of the CPPK electric train, told the children about his profession, the features of managing a modern electric train and the daily work of the locomotive crew, and the exposition inside the train introduced the young guests to the history of the company, the development of suburban services and the people who provide train service every day.
"On this holiday, we are fulfilling the dreams of 14 children from foster families: we make them feel like train drivers, we tell them how commuter transportation works," said Ivan Konev, General Director of the CPPK. — The younger generation is our future. And the interest of young people in the industry is really there. Today, the company employs more than 1,500 employees under the age of 25. Such events can be fundamental for children when choosing their future profession."
The companies have prepared useful travel gifts for the young guests and their parents, so that every trip on Aeroexpress and CCPP trains brings joy and remains in the memory as a bright family event. The tourists were presented with colorful family travel diaries that can be filled out during joint trips, spacious shoppers, organizers for documents and tickets, and themed stickers for luggage. The gift set was designed specifically for the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity.
The event was another step in the development of partnership relations between Aeroexpress and CCPPC. The companies intend to continue working together, including within the framework of projects aimed at popularizing railway transport.
