Aeroexpress and the Russian Geographical Society have opened a photo exhibition dedicated to Russia
Jun 11, 2026
On the eve of Russia Day, on June 11, a photo exhibition "Russia from a Bird's-eye view", prepared jointly with the Russian Geographical Society and dedicated to our country, opened at the Aeroexpress terminal at Domodedovo Airport. The exhibition will introduce Muscovites and guests of the city to the natural and cultural sights of Russia, captured from an unusual angle.
15 photographs from various parts of the country, from Moscow to the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District and Kamchatka Krai, will show the diversity of Russian landscapes, unique landscapes and architectural monuments. Shooting from a height will allow visitors to look at both familiar and little-known corners of our country in a new way.
"Aeroexpress trains and terminals are becoming educational platforms for Muscovites and visitors to the city. The opening of the Bird's–Eye View of Russia exhibition is another step in this direction. From June 11 to June 30, our passengers will see the Volgograd monument "Motherland calls!", the Sayano-Shushenskaya hydroelectric power station, the crater of the Kamchatka volcano Gorely and other iconic places of our country. We hope that this exhibition will make waiting for travelers and the way to the airport or back not just comfortable, but also filled with new experiences," said Vera Agafonova, head of the Aeroexpress press service.
The exhibition features works by participants of the Russian Geographical Society's "The Most Beautiful Country" photo contest.
"The beauty of Russia inspires discoveries, and the Russian Geographical Society appreciates every opportunity to remind about it. Educational projects of the Russian Geographical Society, such as the photo contest "The most beautiful country", show how many amazing things you can meet when traveling around our country! Now passengers will be able to see an exhibition about unique places and nature right in the terminal building. We are pleased to join forces with Aeroexpress to inspire people to explore Russia," said Tatiana Pisareva, Director of the Information and Media Support Department at the Russian Geographical Society.
The exhibition "Russia from a Bird's-eye View" launched the cooperation between Aeroexpress and the Russian Geographical Society. The aim of the joint work will be to popularize knowledge about the natural and cultural diversity of Russia, the results of scientific research and the history of geographical discoveries.
The exhibition is available to all passengers of the Aeroexpress terminal at Domodedovo Airport during the terminal's opening hours, admission is free. The exhibition will run until June 30th.
