Exhibition of astronomical photographs, children's booklets and educational videos: what program Aeroexpress has prepared for passengers on Cosmonautics Day
Apr 6, 2026
In honor of Cosmonautics Day and as part of Space Week in Russia, Aeroexpress organized a series of themed activities for passengers. They will be held from April 1 to April 30 in the trains, terminals and social networks of the carrier.
The central event will be an exhibition of astronomical photographs, prepared jointly with the Moscow Planetarium. From April 6 to April 30, images taken at the Small Observatory of the Planetarium will be presented in the waiting area of the Aeroexpress terminal at Domodedovo Airport (ground floor). Visitors will be able to see the Sun, star clusters, planetary nebulae and other objects. The exhibition is open to everyone.
From April 6 to April 12, the company's employees will distribute colorful themed booklets with assignments at the terminals at Paveletsky and Belorussky railway stations. The manuals, developed jointly with the Moscow Planetarium, are designed for children aged 6-11 and are dedicated to space and travel. In total, passengers with children will receive 1,100 such booklets.
"On the eve of Cosmonautics Day, we have prepared various thematic activities for passengers. Thanks to them, passengers will not only be able to comfortably get to the airport these days, but also learn something new about space, watch educational videos on the trains themselves, and solve space puzzles with their children. The key event will be an exhibition of astronomical photographs in our terminal at Domodedovo Airport, created jointly with the Moscow Planetarium. We are glad that the transport infrastructure is becoming another educational point," said Andrey Akimov, CEO of Aeroexpress.
In addition, educational videos from Roscosmos and the Moscow Planetarium will be broadcast on Aeroexpress trains on routes to Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo airports from April 1 to 15. They introduce the preparation of rockets for launch, cosmonaut training, Russia's achievements in space, and also visually show how much a person would weigh on different planets and how space bodies behave near black holes.
Aeroexpress will also hold a series of space-themed sweepstakes on social media. The winners will receive prizes from the company and the project partners.
The event is held as part of Space Week in Russia. On December 29, the President of Russia signed a decree on the annual holding of the Week. The organizer of the Space Week is the State Corporation Roscosmos.
