Aeroexpress has stepped up work to clean up the snowfall infrastructure
Feb 24, 2026
At the moment, in bad weather conditions, crews have been reinforced at the end points of Aeroexpress trains to clear passenger platforms and bus stops, thoroughly treat surfaces with anti-slip materials, purge arrows and free tracks from snow to prevent schedule disruptions when trains leave the depot. At the same time, Aeroexpress trains and express buses run to Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo airports on schedule despite heavy snowfall in the capital region.
The round-the-clock operational headquarters also continues to operate, monitoring the timetable of trains and express buses and cleaning the infrastructure.
It should be noted that Aeroexpress takes the necessary measures to ensure uninterrupted movement and comfort of trips, regardless of the weather. Every year before the winter season, the company conducts scheduled training of rolling stock and terminals for operation in conditions of low temperatures and heavy precipitation. During the entire cold period, electric train pantographs are treated with deicing grease.
The trains are cleaned regularly, and the climate systems maintain a comfortable temperature in the car interiors. The entrances to the two-story Aeroexpress trains are equipped with a special floor covering that cleans the soles of shoes when walking.
During adverse weather conditions, the company recommends that passengers expect to board the train at railway terminals, where cleaning is also carried out and a comfortable temperature is maintained. The terminals have cafes and shops where you can buy hot drinks. They will also be offered by Aeroexpress staff during the trip.
You can find out up-to-date information about the train timetable on the website aeroexpress.ru and in the Aeroexpress mobile application, by calling the hotline 8-800-700-33-77 (for calls from the regions of Russia and from mobile phones) and 8-495-663-84-10 (for calls from Moscow), as well as from the company's employees in the terminals.
To travel to the airport in the current weather conditions, the company recommends planning the route in advance and using Aeroexpress trains and express buses.
