More than 68 thousand passengers were transported by Aeroexpress over the long weekend
Feb 24, 2026
Over the past long weekend, from February 21 to February 23, Aeroexpress trains and express buses transported more than 68,000 people.
"Passengers most often used railway and bus routes on February 21. To ensure uninterrupted operation during the holidays, the company continued to operate a 24-hour operational headquarters, which controlled the timetable of trains and express buses, as well as cleaning the infrastructure in bad weather," said Aeroexpress CEO Andrey Akimov.
During snowfalls at the end points of trains, Aeroexpress strengthens crews to clean sliding doors from ice and snow, the company's specialists clear passenger platforms and bus stops, treat surfaces with anti-slip materials, purge arrows and clear tracks of snow to prevent schedule disruptions when trains leave the depot. During the entire winter period, train pantographs are treated with deicing grease.
It should be recalled that during the long February weekend, Aeroexpress trains and express buses ran to Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo airports on a standard schedule.
You could go to the airports every 30 minutes. Express buses also ran on a standard schedule: from Khovrino metro station to terminals B and C of Sheremetyevo Airport – every 10 minutes, to Terminal D – every 15 minutes; from Domodedovo metro station to Domodedovo Airport – every 15 minutes.
