The company's passengers and anyone else who wanted to could send letters and themed cards to their family and friends, as well as to the main winter wizard in Veliky Ustyug, for a month free of charge. In total, passengers sent 2,200 messages during the holiday campaign. The letters were delivered by Russian Post.
"Together with Russian Post, we tried to help passengers escape the hustle and bustle and anxiety that many experience before going to the airport, and while waiting for the train, remember the holiday and send warm greetings to their loved ones or write a letter to Father Frost with their children," said Natalya Saxonina, head of the Aeroexpress press service.
"New Year's mail with Aeroexpress completed a series of holiday promotions of the company. We delivered all the letters and cards with the most cherished wishes and warm words to Father Frost. We hope that now he will please the senders with return messages," noted Olga Frolova, head of the press service of the Russian Post of the Moscow macroregion.
New Year's mail began operating on December 15. A letter to Father Frost in Veliky Ustyug could be sent until December 31, a card - until January 14.
