Approximately 700 Passengers Have Used Aeroexpress's "Personal Assistant" Service Since the Beginning of the Year
Sep 20, 2021
Since the beginning of the year, Aeroexpress staff have assisted 700 passengers traveling to Moscow airports through the free "Personal Assistant" service. Of these, around 400 were assisted as part of the "Aeroexpress + Metro" service in collaboration with the Moscow Metro.
The highest number of requests came from passengers at Domodedovo Airport—approximately 400. The free "Personal Assistant" service is provided to passengers with physical disabilities and temporarily reduced mobility on all Aeroexpress routes. The service is also available to parents with children and pregnant women.
The service includes meeting the passenger at the terminal, assisting with ticketing out of turn, helping with luggage placement in the Aeroexpress, and boarding the trains. Through collaboration with the Moscow Metro, the "Aeroexpress + Metro" service is also offered—Aeroexpress staff meet passengers at the airport and accompany them to the train station, where they are then met by staff from the Metro Passenger Mobility Support Center and escorted to the required station.
Aeroexpress pays special attention to creating an accessible environment. The company’s trains and terminals are equipped with all necessary elements for the safety and convenience of passengers with disabilities. All Aeroexpress trains have special cars for passengers with reduced mobility, marked with the appropriate pictogram. Vestibules are equipped with foldable ramps, designated seats for people with disabilities are fitted with safety belts, and restroom facilities are equipped with special handrails. In double-decker trains, elevators are provided for moving between floors. The width of Aeroexpress turnstile passages allows for easy movement with wheelchairs. Ticket counters are equipped with communication devices for people with hearing impairments.
The "Personal Assistant" service can be requested on the company’s website by filling out a request form, by calling the hotline at 8-800-700-33-77 (for calls from regions of Russia and mobile phones) and 8-495-663-84-10 (for calls from Moscow), as well as at information desks in terminals and at stations.
