Passenger Demand for Aeroexpress Buses Increase by 20% after Putting the Route to Terminal В into Operation
Sep 6, 2021
In the two weeks since Aeroexpress put the new bus route into service between the Khovrino metro station and Terminal D of Sheremetyevo Airport, daily passenger demand for the company’s express buses has increased by 20%.
Over 60,000 passengers travelled along express routes 1195 (the Khovrino metro station - Terminals B and C) and 1195D (the Khovrino metro station - Terminal D) over two weeks. Aeroexpress buses run along the toll road making no stops on their way and deliver passengers to and from the terminals of Sheremetyevo Airport in 20 minutes.
“This year, we have recorded a significant increase in passenger demand for bus services. Their frequency, predictable travel time thanks to the toll road and affordable fares are the main advantages of express buses, that are important for air travellers choosing their transfer to/from the airport. We expect the daily average of the number of passengers opting for express buses to increase by another 15% by the end of this year,” said Mikhail Grafchikov, Chief Commercial Officer of Aeroexpress.
Express buses to Terminals B and С run every 15-20 minutes while vehicles to Terminal D are provided at 30-minute intervals. Fares and bus passes for both routes are the same. One single ticket costs 199 roubles if purchased online. Round-trip tickets are available at the price of 350 roubles. To learn more about the fares, please visit the company’s website. Bus tickets are available via the Aeroexpress website and mobile app, as well as from bus drivers.
For the convenience of passengers travelling with baggage along routes 1195 and 1195D, there are low-floor buses equipped with baggage racks and air conditioning.
