70% of Rolling Stock Serving Sheremetyevo Route Renewed

Dec 10, 2019

Aeroexpress has put another double-decker train produced by Stadler (Switzerland) into service on the route between Odintsovo and Sheremetyevo Airport.

From now on, six double-decker trains with enhanced comfort and capacity will transport passengers from Odintsovo to Sheremetyevo Airport and back again. Therefore, 70% of trains running along this route have been renewed as of today.

Aeroexpress plans to completely replace the rolling stock on the Sheremetyevo link with double-decker trains before the end of this year.

The first double-decker vehicle was successfully put into operation on this route in early November. Starting from 21 November, Aeroexpress trains serving the Sheremetyevo route run to Odintsovo. Along the railway section between Odintsovo and Belorussky Rail Terminal, trains make the intermediate stops at Bakovka, Innovation Centre, Nemchinovka, Setun’, Rabochy Posyolok, Kuntsevskaya, Fili, Testovskaya, and Begovaya. Further from the Belorussky Rail Terminal, Aeroexpress trains stop at the Okruzhnaya platform and the recently-introduced stop at the Savyolovsky Rail Terminal.

Modern trains are distinguished by their smooth running. All the carriages feature soft seats with easily adjustable backs and armrests, folding tables, sockets, flat screens, and toilets.
