Aeroexpress to Extend Route Between Sheremetyevo Airport and Odintsovo

Nov 18, 2019

Aeroexpress trains serving the Sheremetyevo route will start running to Odintsovo in November 2019.

40 pairs of Aeroexpress trains will connect Odintsovo located near Moscow, and the international airport. Train services will be provided at the same interval of 30 minutes. The route will run through the major business clusters of Skolkovo and Moscow City. Along the railway section between Odintsovo and Belorussky Rail Terminal, trains will make the intermediate stops at Bakovka, Innovation Centre, Nemchinovka, Setun’, Rabochy Posyolok, Kuntsevo-1, Fili, Testovskaya, and Begovaya. Further from the Belorussky Rail Terminal, Aeroexpress trains will stop at the Okruzhnaya platform and at the recently-introduced stop at the Savoylovsky Rail Terminal.

Thanks to this new route, passengers will be able to travel from the Skolkovo innovation centre to Sheremetyevo Airport in comfort and without needing to transfer in 1 hour and 20 minutes. Travel time from the Moscow City business centre is one hour. Moreover, travellers will have the chance to choose the most convenient place to board the train. Aeroexpress double-decker vehicles, produced by the Swiss company Stadler, will run along the extended route, ensuring high capacity and comfort.

“Moscow and Moscow region represent a dynamically developing agglomeration. Providing residents of adjacent areas with high-quality public transport, including reliable airport transfer, is one of the key factors increasing the region’s attractiveness, both for living and in terms of business activities. The provision of continuous transportation between Sheremetyevo and Odintsovo via Aeroexpress trains is a logical and essential step in the process of integrating Aeroexpress into a single agglomeration transport system. Hundreds of thousands of people will be able to travel directly to the airport in comfort and without needing to transfer along the way,” said Alina Bisembaeva, CEO of Aeroexpress.

This route extension was possible owing to the fact that Moscow Central Diameters (MCD) have been put into operation, the development of railway infrastructure, and the establishment of cooperation between Aeroexpress and Central Suburban Passenger Company. Aeroexpress train services will be integrated into the MCD timetable. This innovation will make it possible to travel between Odintsovo and Sheremetyevo Airport without the need to transfer, which will significantly facilitate and shorten travel time to and from one of the largest cities of the Moscow region.

The Aeroexpress timetable for the new route is available on the Aeroexpress website and via the mobile app (Timetable section).
