During the event, visitors explored Aeroexpress rolling stock at the depot, watched the processes involved in maintaining and repairing trains, and learned about the peculiarities of the locomotive crews’ work and training, as well as their duties.
After looking around the depot, the groups of visitors took a ride on Aeroexpress from the Belorussky Rail Terminal to see the Joint Dispatching Centre, located at the company’s office at Sheremetyevo Airport. JDC specialists demonstrated, in real time, how they coordinate Aeroexpress trains’ operation along all routes, monitor safety and security conditions and actual situational changes at different facilities, etc.
“Over 30 people attended the excursion from among many more who applied. In this regard, we decided to make second-run groups and arrange a similar event later this summer. We are happy to share this part of the large-scale work our specialists carry out every day with our passengers in order to ensure their comfortable and reliable transfer between airports and the city.
The excursion was timed to coincide with Moscow Transport Day. On 14 July, bus facilities, tram depots, and the Centre for Traffic Organization also opened their doors to visitors.
