Aeroexpress Launches Free Wifi for Passengers at Sheremetyevo Terminal

As of April 19, 2016, passengers and visitors to the Aeroexpress terminal at Sheremetyevo Airport will be able to use a free high-speed Wi-Fi network.

Launching the Wi-Fi connection at the Aeroexpress terminal was the final step required to establish the joint information and communication environment at Sheremetyevo, implemented by MaximaTelecom.

A seamless Wi-Fi zone between the Sheremetyevo passenger terminals and the express carrier's terminal has been established. Thanks to this development, Aeroexpress passengers can use the Internet connection in any part of the airport.

We recall that Aeroexpress officially launched wireless internet equipment aboard all its trains on April 1, 2015. As of today, the intermodal carrier has registered over two million unique connections to the Wi-Fi network.

“The Aeroexpress terminal at Sheremetyevo Airport is the second facility where MaximaTelecom is providing wireless internet services. Our passengers highly value the continuous network performance and its high speed. In future, all Aeroexpress terminals will be furnished with a Wi-Fi network from this provider," says Rustam Akiniazov, Chief Financial Officer of Aeroexpress.

One can access the Internet upon completing a mandatory user identification procedure. To do so, it is necessary to confirm one’s telephone number or else login via the Public Services Portal. For users who have already passed the identification procedure at other MaximaTelecom networks, they do not need to go through this again. Those users who logged in to the AURA network will be redirected to a special version of an interactive website.
