Tourist SIM cards from JSC Megafon are now available in Aeroexpress trains!

Jan 19, 2011

Mobile telephone services in Aeroexpress trains: starting from January, 2011, it is now possible to buy JSC Megafon tourist sim-cards in Aeroexpress trains running between the Moscow city center and Vnukovo, Domodedovo, and Sheremetyevo Airports.

Now passengers who use Aeroexpress services can subscribe for tourist sim-cards directly in the train and put money on their account through payment terminals in the airport.

Passengers are offered sim-cards under the "Around the World” payment plan. This plan is advantageous for making calls to Russia from nearby countries (under this plan a minute of incoming calls, outgoing calls to Russian phone numbers, and SMS messages in international roaming all cost 7,5 rubles each). Visitors to Moscow who need to make calls to numbers outside of Russia can purchase sim-cards under the "International" tariff plan (calls to mobile numbers in the Moscow Region, Europe, Asia, the USA, and Canada cost 3,50 rubles per minute).

This new possibility will allow subscribers not to waste their time searching for sim-cards in their country of arrival, and to solve all mobile questions on their way. The offered tariffs will significantly decrease subscribers’ mobile phone costs and will make traveling both to Russia and abroad as comfortable as possible.

JSC Megafon is a strategic partner of LLC Aeroexpress. The two companies reached a partnership agreement for developing telecommunications infrastructure and services together in November, 2010.
