Aeroexpress and Central Suburban Passenger Company Launch Joint Train Services between Sheremetyevo and Odintsovo

Jul 4, 2019

Starting from 4 July, Aeroexpress will operate several daily train services on the route between Sheremetyevo Airport and Odintsovo. Trains will serve the railway section between Sheremetyevo Airport and the Belorussky Rail Terminal as regular Aeroexpress trains whereas they will make all stops as per route along the section between the Belorussky Rail Terminal and Odintsovo.

The Moscow administration offered to consider the option of extending the route in order to enhance passengers’ comfort as this modification will make it possible for travellers to reach Odintsovo, Skolkovo, Moscow City and other districts located along this route right from Sheremetyevo, or travel to the airport, without the need to change.

Aeroexpress and CSPC will operate joint train services between Sheremetyevo and Odintsovo in a pilot mode. At the first stage, morning and evening Aeroexpress trains will run between Odintsovo and Sheremetyevo twice a day on workdays and three times a day at weekends.

The Aeroexpress route will cover the intermediate stops at Bakovka, Innovation Centre, Nemchinovka, Setun’, Rabochy Posyolok, Kuntsevo-1, Fili, Testovskaya, and Begovaya. After reaching the Belorussky Rail Terminal, trains, as usual, will run to Sheremetyevo Airport making a stop at Okruzhnaya. Travel time from the airport to Odintsovo (and back again) will be 90 minutes. Travel time between Sheremetyevo Airport and the Belorussky Rail Terminal remains the same and takes 35 minutes.

Trains running to/from Odintsovo will stop at the Belorussky Rail Terminal for at least four minutes.

The cost of a ticket to the airport does not depend on the boarding station and will equal the standard fare of 500 roubles. All Aeroexpress group fares will also be available to passengers.

It is possible to travel between Sheremetyevo Airport and Odintsovo using Aeroexpress paper and e-tickets purchased from ticket offices, TVMs, via the Aeroexpress website or mobile app, and from ticket sales clerks. Aeroexpress passengers will not yet be able to take a ride between the Belorussky Rail Terminal and Odintsovo with an Aeroexpress railcard or if they pay at the airport turnstile with Troika, ApplePay or other contactless services.

In order to board the train or pass through the turnstile at an intermediate stop located on the Belorussky-Odintsovo railway section, passengers need to present their Aeroexpress paper or e-ticket to a CSPC attendant.

It is possible to travel by Aeroexpress trains between the Belorussky Rail Terminal and Odintsovo with CSPC regular tickets and railcards. They are available from the company’s ticket offices and TVMs.

“We pay special attention to our passengers’ comfort and, realizing the necessity to ensure transport accessibility to the residents of the Moscow Region, we are expanding our routes. Plans to launch Moscow Central Diameters only prove this necessity and demand for such routes. We always make our best efforts to meet the emerging trends. Thus, we strive to integrate into the agglomeration transport complex,” said Alina Bisembaeva, CEO of Aeroexpress.

“Launching new train services is a joint project by CSPC and Aeroexpress. While it is operating in a pilot mode, we are closely monitoring its implementation and taking into account passengers’ feedback. This is, perhaps, the first time when two major companies have joined to establish a new format of transportation,” said Ivan Konev, CEO of the Central Suburban Passenger Company.

After the trial period finishes, it will be decided whether to keep this route regular and integrate it into the Aeroexpress timetable for the Sheremetyevo route.

All timetable updates are available on the Aeroexpress and CSPC websites and via the Aeroexpress and CSPC mobile apps (Timetable section). Enquiries can also be directed to the Aeroexpress hotline and company employees at the terminals and railway stations.
