82% of all campaign participants are passengers arriving at or departing from Sheremetyevo Airport. The latter serves flights to and from China by Aeroflot, Air China, Hainan Airlines, and China Eastern.
Given all the passengers who were carried on Aeroexpress routes, 54% of them who purchased tickets for one rouble travelled from the airport to the city and 46% from the city to the airport.
“It is essential for us to ensure passengers’ comfort by taking all aspects into account, including offering a number of convenient payment options to travellers from all over the world so that they can use payment systems that are familiar to them. We first planned to finish this campaign with UnionPay in September, but seeing how popular it was with passengers, we decided to extend it until mid-October,” said Ekaterina Lobanova, Aeroexpress Press Service Officer.
As part of this collaboration, UnionPay card holders were able to enjoy Aeroexpress rides for just one rouble provided that they had made a scan payment at the turnstile. This offer was valid for standard tickets on all Aeroexpress routes. This campaign was carried out with the support of VTB Bank, which provided acquiring services at Aeroexpress turnstiles.
