Aeroexpress Passenger Demand along Sheremetyevo Route Increase 10% since Okruzhnaya Launch

Sep 28, 2018

For the first three weeks after the Okruzhnaya interim stop was put into operation, 322,000 passengers travelled on Aeroexpress trains between the Belorussky Rail Terminal and Sheremetyevo Airport, which is 10% higher compared to the same period last year.

At the Okruzhnaya stop, passengers can board Aeroexpress trains running to the airport, but not to the Belorussky Rail Terminal.

It is noteworthy that this stop was put into service on 6 September. Its introduction on the route has not changed the duration of travel from the rail terminal to the airport, which is 35 minutes. Aeroexpress trains arrive at the interim station 13 minutes after their departure from the Belorussky Rail Terminal and 22 minutes after their departure from Sheremetyevo Airport.

Thanks to this new stop, Aeroexpress trains ensure an even more comfortable transfer for passengers who can now choose the most suitable place to get on and off the trains and make a quick change to any public transport.

From the Okruzhnaya platform, travellers can change to the metro and MCC stations with the same name, buses and trolleybuses, the Timiryazevskaya and Ulitsa Milashenkova stations of the Moscow Monorail or continue their journeys on suburban trains.
