Aeroexpress Summer Passenger Traffic Increase 6%
Sep 4, 2018
The company transported over 3.5 million passengers during the past summer months, which is 6% higher compared to the same period last year.
The Sheremetyevo route was the most in demand, witnessing an increase by 200,000 passengers and reaching a total passenger flow of virtually 1.5 million people. Over 800,000 passengers opted for Aeroexpress services to travel between the Kievsky Rail Terminal and Vnukovo Airport, making it a 17% increase over the 2017 summer result.
“This summer Moscow was hosting the 2018 World Cup, which could not but improve our passenger traffic. We are glad to note that foreign visitors were actively choosing Aeroexpress as a means of transfer to the city centre and were satisfied with the level of service. We received lots of positive feedback on our social media and via other communication channels. This is the best estimation of our company’s operation,” said Mikhail Kovalsky, Acting CEO of Aeroexpress.
During the 2018 World Cup, nearly 1.5 million people took their rides with Aeroexpress, of which 100,000 passengers travelled for free.
