Nearly 1,200 people took such rides between April and August of this year, compared to 900 travellers in the same period one year ago. In April, the company simplified the conditions for carrying pets and bikes aboard Aeroexpress trains along all routes, thereby contributing to an increase in the number of passengers travelling with pets and cycles.
Passengers may transport pets and bikes aboard Aeroexpress trains free of charge. Previously, according to the Conditions of Rail Carriage for Passengers, Baggage, and Cargo Luggage, pets could travel for a fee of 100 RUB, while the fee for one unfolded bike was 50 RUB.
It is noteworthy that bikes can only be transported in a train vestibule. Small pets can be carried in special containers and placed in hand luggage compartments. Large dogs must be conveyed in a train vestibule and kept on leads by their owners, who are liable for compliance with the train sanitation rules.
