World Football Stars Exhibition Open at Aeroexpress Terminal at Paveletsky Rail Terminal
Jun 13, 2018
From 13 June to 16 July, a portrait exhibition of legendary football players from Russia and other countries all around the world, created by Daria Isaeva, is taking place at the Aeroexpress terminal at the Paveletsky Rail Terminal.
The author, Daria Isaeva, is a young Russian realistic artist and football blogger, who has been drawing pencil portraits of famous football players for many years. She has already created over 100 works, which show an incredible likeness to the sportsmen’s actual photos.
About 30 drawings are represented at the Aeroexpress terminal, including portraits of Lev Yashin, Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, Thierry Henry and other stars from the world of Russian and international football.
In the centre of the exhibition stands a football that is over 1.5 metres in height, which is also decorated with portraits of famous players. A similar ball is also installed at the Aeroexpress terminal at Sheremetyevo Airport.
Renowned commentators Kirill Dementyev, Dmitry Fyodorov, Maria Makarova and Mikhail Mosakovsky attended the opening ceremony for the World Football Stars exhibition, held at the Aeroexpress terminal at the Paveletsky Rail Terminal.
“This exhibition is a result of cooperation between Aeroexpress, the Simple Agency, which specializes in marketing, and of course, Daria Isaeva. Together, we have been developing the concept, selecting the venue and installing everything. We hope that we have managed to create a display that will please the eye of football fans travelling from Moscow to the airport, along with other Aeroexpress passengers,” commented Acting CEO of Aeroexpress Mikhail Kovalsky.
“A few portraits that have never been shown before can be seen at this exhibition. I hope visitors will be glad to see them for the first time. I tried to choose the portraits of the most recognisable football players, but have also included a couple of my favourite works. Right now, such legends as Johannes Cruijff and David Seaman may not be familiar to many people, but it was important to me to pay them tribute,” said Daria Isaeva.
“Portraits drawn by Daria show both the appearance and the inner world of football players. This a very interesting view on football. It is pleasing that this project has been implemented and will make it possible for all travellers to look at this game from another perspective and feel the character of those who play this sport,” stated sports commentator Kirill Dementyev.
The exhibition is open and free for everyone during the terminal’s operating hours - from 05:00am to 00:30am every day and until 03:00am on the days of extended Aeroexpress operation due to the expected peak loads on 28 June, 4 July, and 12 July.
