Aeroexpress Transports over 10,000 Guests to 2017 Confederations Cup

A total of 10,712 fans, volunteers and accredited participants of the international football tournament have used Aeroexpress’ services.

Between June 16 and 25, as part of the Confederations Cup, Aeroexpress transported 2,399 fans from Moscow airports. A total of 7,947 volunteers travelled on the express trains between June 1 and 25 and 366 accredited people were transported by the carrier between May 29 and June 25. The Sheremetyevo-Belorussky and Domodedovo-Paveletsky routes were the most in-demand by the Cup's guests.

Attendees of this sporting competition can obtain free tickets to travel on Aeroexpress trains (for not more than two trips) two days before the date specified on the Moscow match ticket, on the day of a game, and two days after the event. Campaign tickets are only available at the company’s ticket offices. 

Volunteers supporting the 2017 Confederations Cup may travel on Aeroexpress trains free of charge from May 21 to July 30 while accredited participants may ride free between May 29 and July 9.

For passengers’ convenience, information regarding free Aeroexpress travel for Confederations Cup volunteers and fans will be provided at the carrier’s information counters and also via a hotline in Russian and English. Besides, special screens with the similar information in Russian and English have been installed at all of the Aeroexpress terminals at Moscow airports.

During the days of the tournament, additional night trains running to Moscow rail terminals and airports have been arranged.

The 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup is a football tournament among national teams and is held in Russia between June 17 and July 2.
