Aeroexpress to Support the World Car-Free Day

Sep 21, 2016

On car-free day, passengers will be able to transport their bikes aboard Aeroexpress trains free of charge.

On Thursday, September 22, Aeroexpress will support World Car-Free Day for the third time and thus, will be allowing passengers to carry their bikes aboard the trains for free. The company has also recommended that all its employees use public transport to come to work on that day.

Owing to the commencement of the Central Ring Road’s operation and the development of Moscow's transport infrastructure, travel time to work has become several times faster for many Moscow residents, which allows them not use their personal vehicles. It is worth noting that Aeroexpress is fully integrated into the transport network. For example, Plus Metro and Between Airports tickets are unified tickets for virtually any mode of public transport in Moscow. Moreover, passengers can pay for Aeroexpress trips using their Troika cards.

We would like to remind you that, as part of World Car-Free Day, it is recommended that Moscow residents leave their cars and use public transport and bikes or walk. The campaign's objective is to attract people's attention to the serious ecological situation in large cities.
