Aeroexpress Terminal at Kievsky Rail Terminal Now in Full Operation

Jun 6, 2016

As of June 3, 2016, the Aeroexpress terminal is once again located in its usual place, familiar to all passengers, following the completion of renovation at Kievsky Rail Terminal.

Passengers can now enter the Aeroexpress terminal as usual, from the square adjacent to the rail terminal, just opposite the Evropeisky Shopping Centre.

We would like to remind you that renovations at the terminal were carried out as part of a set of operations aimed at modernising transport infrastructure facilities, in particular RZhD’s programme for renovating Moscow rail terminals. The work took three months.

As a result of the aforementioned works, there have been seven TVMs, three ticket offices, an information kiosk, and a validation kiosk installed within the terminal’s territory. To ensure passengers’ security in the new hall, a security check point has been arranged and an introscope has been installed.

Aeroexpress trains started running between Kievsky Rail Terminal and Vnukovo Airport in 2004. In 2015, the carrier transported 2.8 million passengers along this route. Starting from January 2017, double-deck Aeroexpress trains will serve the Kievsky Rail Terminal - Vnukovo Airport line.
