Aeroexpress Video About Honest Drivers Named Among Top Video Commercials in Russia for 2013

18.12.2013 – Moscow. The “Lie Detector” video is among the TOP 13 video ads chosen by both readers and editors of AdMe.ru, Russia's largest advertising portal.
Every month, the audience of AdMe.ru votes for the best commercials. At the end of each year, the editorial board chooses the TOP Russian videos based on these votes. There are no firsts or lasts in this list: all videos entering it are considered as most worthy examples of Russian advertising in the outgoing year. In addition to the Aeroexpress video, the list of Russia’s best commercials also included advertisements by the Yandex search engine, IKEA, OBI chain stores, as well as the largest Russian mobile operators Beeline, MTS, and Megafon, iPhone, and others.
As stated in an article dedicated to the 2013 results for Russia’s best commercials, which was published on AdMe.ru, the Aeroexpress video is “a story that lasts just one and a half minutes, which happens to be solid, dramaturgically authentic and conveys its message without any nerdiness, superhuman courage, or affectation”.
The “Lie Detector” video represents a part of an advertising campaign under the “Honest taxi drivers recommend Aeroexpress” slogan, launched by the company in April this year. It consists of outdoor advertising, as well as radio and video ads. The plot of each video surrounds an individual dramatic sketch depicting the daily grind of the capital’s taxi drivers, who face a difficult dilemma, caught between being honest and earning extra money. Each video ends with the main heroes admitting that it is indeed quicker to reach the airport on an Aeroexpress train.
According to Vadim Semikin, Director of Public Relations with Aeroexpress, the company treats the profession of a taxi driver with great respect. “The vast majority of taxi drivers are honest. This was also proven by a special event we held on Taxi Driver’s Day in summer 2013. Taxi drivers delivering passengers to Aeroexpress terminals were welcomed by Aeroexpress representatives, who congratulated them on Taxi Driver’s Day. In just a few hours, more than five hundred taxi drivers were presented with gifts,” summed up Vadim Semikin.
