Aeroexpress tickets can now be bought on S7 Airlines’ web-site

May 19, 2010

S7 Airlines, the largest Russian air carrier by the number of passengers carried by the domestic airlines, announces a new extra service for its passengers – the purchase of tickets for high-speed Aeroexpress trains commuting between Moscow's Domodedovo Airport and Paveletsky Railway Station. The tickets for the trains to other Moscow’s airports are also available on the airline’s web-site.

The price for Aeroexpress tickets on S7 Airlines' web-site will be the same as in the railway ticket offices. The full-price (adult’s) ticket costs 300 roubles, the child’s ticket (for children from 5 to 7) costs 100 roubles. Children under 5 travel by train for free.

In the near future, passengers will get the opportunity to buy tickets for Business Class coaches that will start running as part of the trains between Paveletsky Railway Station and Domodedovo Airport as soon as June this year. The fare for a journey in an enhanced-comfort coach will be 750 rubles (the full-price ticket) and 380 rubles (the child's ticket).

“When planning their journey to or from Moscow, S7 Airlines’ passengers can now purchase Aeroexpress tickets on S7 Airlines’ web-site. A maximally easy-to-use and simple purchase interface allows the passenger to buy an Aeroexpress ticket independent of the air ticket. At the next stage, we are planning to combine the air ticket and train ticket purchases. Whenever the passenger will buy an air ticket to or from Moscow, the system will automatically offer to buy an Aeroexpress ticket. The prices of the air and train tickets will be summed up to a single invoice, which will simplify the purchase process and save the passenger time,” remarked S7 Airlines’ E-Commerce Director Dmitry Chuiko.

“Aeroexpress is developing cooperation with all the leading airlines in order to make the intermodal service more accessible and to offer this service as part of the air ticket. And the online ticket purchase makes our service more attractive and significantly saves the passenger time. Being a client-centric company, we are striving to offer the integrated passenger service by implementing contemporary information technologies," said LLC Aeroexpress' First Deputy General Director Mikhail Kovalsky.

To purchase an Aeroexpress e-ticket on the airline’s web-site www.s7.ru, you only need to have Internet access and a bank card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, JCB). In the closest time, you will also be able to buy an Aeroexpress ticket via your mobile phone.

After making the payment, the passenger gets to the e-ticket review page. You can print an e-ticket directly from the web-site or forward the link to its digital version to your mobile phone or e-mail.

Travelling on an e-ticket in an Aeroexpress is permitted only if you show a printed itinerary receipt to the ticket inspector on board the train or a bar-code on your mobile's screen. Using a special device – a validator – the inspector will read the data and issue a ticket to the passenger. You can find more information on how to buy an Aeroexpress ticket and buy a ticket here: http://www.s7.ru/ru/aeroexpress.html.

S7 Airlines’ passengers can also purchase Aeroexpress boarding cards valid for up to 6 months in the airline’s sales offices.
