Let us remind that Aeroexpress started selling e-tickets on its web-site in February, 2010. About 500 passengers have already benefited from the new service. They chose the e-ticket for its undoubted advantages as a convenient, simple and time-saving purchase option.
Using the on-line service, passengers can buy commission-free tickets for high-speed trains to and from Moscow’s main airports: Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo in advance (but no more than 30 days before departure). And this can be done without leaving home or work. All they need are Internet access and a payment instrument.
It should be noted that a Standard Class e-ticket is valid till the end of the next day after the ticket’s departure date. If the departure date is not set when you are buying a ticket on the web-site, it is the purchase date.
You can travel by Aeroexpress with an e-ticket only if you show a printed itinerary receipt or a bar-code on the screen of your mobile phone to the ticket inspector on board. Using a special device – a validator – the ticket inspector will read the data and issue a ticket to the passenger.
According to LLC Aeroexpress’ Commercial Director Mikhail Kovalskiy, “the introduction of the special fare will create necessary prerequisites for potential intermodal service consumers interested in early online purchase of Aeroexpress tickets”.
