Aeroexpress introduces e-tickets

Feb 19, 2010

Tickets for comfortable Aeroexpress trains running between the center of Moscow and the main city’s airports are now available for purchasing on LLC Aeroexpress’ web-site. The new service appeared after introduction of the new E-Ticket technology.

Now the passenger can buy a ticket for a high-speed train to Moscow’s main airports – Vnukovo, Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo – and back in advance (but not earlier than 30 days before departure) without leaving home or work and free from any commission charges. Internet access and one means of payment will be enough to do so.

The new service enabling on-line ticket purchase saves the passenger significant time: there is no need to come to the terminal in advance to buy a ticket or to queue up at the ticket office. Besides, the ticket issuance procedure on the web-site is user-friendly and simple. Using a special order form, passengers select necessary travel parameters (a date, an itinerary, a class and a tariff) and a means of payment, specifying their mobile phone number that will be used for sending a text message with a payment confirmation and a password for accessing the personal account on the web-site. After purchasing a ticket, the user is registered on the web-site automatically.

On the web-site, one can also book and pay a ticket for a business class coach running on the Belorussky Railway Station – Sheremetyevo Airport line. If the passenger selects a business class, additional parameters – “departure time” and "seat” – will become available.

LLC Aeroexpress offers its passengers a wide range of electronic payment systems and a convenient method of payment. You can pay your e-ticket with a bank card – Visa or MasterCard, via a payment system – Yandex.Money or WebMoney, or from your personal mobile phone account through MOBI.Money (for Beeline subscribers).

After making a payment, the user will be redirected to the page with the payment result, from where an itinerary receipt can be printed out or sent as a bar-coded text message to the user’s mobile phone. If the passenger does not print out the itinerary receipt at once, it will be available for printing at any time later in the passenger's personal account on the web-site, which the passenger can access by entering the mobile number and the password.

It should be noted that an itinerary receipt for a journey in a standard class coach is valid until 00.00 a.m. of the next day after the departure date.

Traveling on an e-ticket by Aeroexpresses is allowed only if you show a travelling ticket agent (inspector) a printed itinerary receipt or a bar code on the screen of your mobile phone while on board. Using a special device – a validator, the ticket inspector will read the data and issue a ticket to the passenger.

Aeroexpress is continuously improving its passenger service technologies. Introduction of the new E-Ticket technology has become an important step in developing the company’s automated sales system. Tickets for Aeroexpresses are already sold via ticket machines at the Aeroexpress terminals, via ticket booking systems in partner sales offices and now on the company’s web-site as well. As the next step in developing the sales system, similar services will appear on the web-sites of the leading airlines and travel agents, Aeroexpress is conducting negotiations with.
