Aeroexpress supports Airbus A380 presentation in Russia

On October 16, 2009, an Aeroexpress high-speed train running between Moscow and the Domodedovo brought the guests and participants in the Airbus A380 presentation to the airport so that they meet the world largest airliner making its firs trip to Russia.

The passenger plane landed at the Domodedovo Moscow International Airport, the first and only airport in Russia to have a certificate for receiving this type of aircraft.

Within the frames of the event, the guests and participants will be the first people in Russia watching the demonstration flight and landing of the airliner and get on board the double-decker giant. Airbus A380 is the largest passenger aircraft in the world with the wingspan of around 80 meters and the fuselage length of 73 meters. It is designed to carry 525 passengers to distances of up to 15, 000 kilometers.

Aeroexpress trains running from the Paveletsky Railway Station to Domodedovo every 30 minutes can carry over 540 passengers at a time.

A total of 19 A380 airliners are operational in the world providing scheduled service in 12 cities with Moscow to possibly join in the nearest future.
