The “Return ticket” tariff is intended for people coming to meet and/or see off passengers: a person going to and from the airport on the same day can buy a ticket for 360 roubles.
As of April 15 passengers going to and from the Vnukovo Airport can use the “Family” tariff which allows a family of two adults with children to buy one ticket for 500 roubles. For the period from April 15 – June 7 this service was used by around 1,500 families.
For the first time the “Return ticket” service was offered on the Savelovsky Railway Station – Sheremetyevo Airport line on March 15, 2009. Up to 3,000 passengers have used this service during three months.
The “Return ticket” tariff offered on the Kievsky Railway Station – Vnukovo Airport line is another step on the way of implementing a uniform Aeroexpress tariff policy on all traffic lines connecting airports of the Moscow Air Hub with the centre of the capital.
The high-speed railway connection from the centre of the capital to the Vnukovo Airport was opened in July 2004. In December 2004 a terminal with a total area of 650 sq. m. was opened at the airport; the terminal comprises the check-in area, information and ticket halls where passengers can check in for flights, deliver their luggage, buy air- and railway tickets. Electric luxury trains run without stops. It takes 35 minutes to get to the underground railway terminal located within an easy reach of the Vnukovo air-terminal complex.
