Aeroexpress has been continually notifying its passengers about all changes to the timetable and recommended that they check the time of Aeroexpress services before planning their trips.
Over RUB 80,000 was paid by Aeroexpress to passengers in compensation for this period of disruption. Forty-seven Aeroexpress train tickets for the amount of RUB 15,000 were refunded. Aeroexpress voluntary committed itself to compensate the costs of air tickets to the passengers who were late to their flights due to the changes in the train timetable independent of the reasons that caused the failure. The amount paid for air tickets totalled almost RUB 64,000.
The refund policy has been valid within the company for several years. It offers a full refund of Aeroexpress tickets in the case that service is delayed for over 15 minutes.
The schedule has returned to normal as of 13:00 on 21 June 2013 and trains are now running in accordance with the timetable.
