The advantages of paying for tickets with the Visa payWave card include simplicity, safety and convenience. To pay for a purchase, you no longer need to give the cashier your card. To purchase Aeroexpress tickets via the vending machine, just select the fare and method of payment, and place the card face down on the reader bearing the Visa payWave logo. Your travel document will be issued immediately after the sound signal confirms payment. It is not necessary to enter your PIN for payments up to RUB 1,000.
“As a rapidly growing company, Aeroexpress considers it necessary to offer its passengers only the most successful innovations. The introduction of payWave technology marks yet another step in improving the Company's level of service that will greatly facilitate the purchase of tickets through the vending machines, making this procedure really fast and safe”, said Alexey Krivoruchko, CEO of Aeroexpress.
"Visa PayWave technology has successfully established itself not only in countries nearby and further abroad, but in Russia as well. The most significant advantages of Visa payWave technology for retail and service businesses are the ability to simplify the payment process, increase the speed and quality of customer service, and reduce queues in salesrooms. The main advantages for cardholders consist of comfort and safety, because the Visa payWave card is always in the owner’s hands,” commented Stephen Parker, CEO of Visa for Russia, the CIS and South-Eastern Europe. “We are very pleased that, now, both Russians and visitors to the country can buy an Aeroexpress ticket using a Visa payWave card, so simply and fast”.
The introduction of the new payment technology for tickets, together with Visa, is not the first experience for Aeroexpress in terms of its partnership with global payment systems. Since the end of 2011, the MasterCard PayPass contactless payment technology, which offers advantages when it comes to paying MasterCard cardholders, has been successfully operating at Aeroexpress ticket terminals.
