New REX Suburban Trains Operate Across Belorussky Route

On May 28, 2012, the REX: Regional Express enhanced-comfort accelerated suburban electric trains have begun operating on the routes between Belorussky Rail Terminal and Mozhaisk, as well as Belorussky Rail Terminal and Zvenigorod. This new operation was organised as a joint initiative between OAO Central Suburban Passenger Company, OOO Aeroexpress, and OOO Regional Express (REX).

The Belorussky direction is now the third one to date where this commuter train has been put into operation. Currently, REX-brand trains travel in the Savyolovsky and Paveletsky directions (Lobnya, Ozherelye, and Domodedovo). This rolling stock meets modern quality standards and uses the latest technology. REX: Region Express is distinguished by its renewed interior, the presence of climate control systems, and toilet facilities.

Tickets for REX: Region Express can be purchased from ticket offices at the Savyolovsky, Paveletsky, and Belorussky Rail Terminals, and at the following stations: Lobnya, Ozherelye, Domodedovo, Mozhaisk, and Zvenigorod.

The departure times for REX trains on the route Belorussky Rail Terminal – Mozhaisk are as follows:

from Moscow – 09.15, 13.35, 18.13 (daily), 08.05, 16.00 (weekends), 17.00 (on Fridays and Sundays).

from Mozhaisk – 06.49, 15.35 (daily), 10.00, 11.55, 17.50 (weekends), 19.15 (Fridays and Sundays), 09.20 (Sundays).

The train’s departure times for the route Belorussky Rail Terminal – Zvenigorod:

from Moscow - 19.14 (weekdays)

from Zvenigorod - 07.00 (weekdays).
