Highway Repair on the Way to Domodedovo International Airport

May 11, 2012

According to an official announcement by Moscow Domodedovo Airport, the federal highway between Domodedovo and Moscow is scheduled to be repaired from July 10 to 31, 2012, on the section between the 35th kilometre (the Pakhra River) and the rail terminal square. The repairs will first be performed in the direction from Moscow to the airport and vice versa after the work is completed.

To minimise any inconvenience to passengers and visitors to the airport, the company FGU DEP-26, which is performing the highway repair, and Moscow Domodedovo Airport have taken a joint decision to carry out all operations in the evening and at night (from 19:00 to 07:00) and to close one traffic lane at a time.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport recommends that passengers and visitors bear in mind the possible increase in travel time when planning journeys and using railway transport. Passengers and visitors to Domodedovo can use Aeroexpress high-speed trains, running between Paveletsky Rail Terminal and the airport every 30 minutes from 06:00 to midnight. Travel time is 45 minutes.
