Alexei Krivoruchko, CEO of Aeroexpress, comments on this new development: “This year has been a period of rapid development for our company. And the deployment of MasterCard PayPass in the automated ticket sales system marks a truly significant step in this process. Now it is even easier to purchase Aeroexpress tickets.”
It is easy, fast, and safe to make payments by MasterCard using PayPass technology. When buying a ticket, the passenger needs to select a fare and choose the bank card payment option, then touch the card onto a reader marked with the PayPass logo, and enter the PIN code. A ticket will be issued after a payment completion signal. When purchasing tickets from ticket offices, passengers can make PayPass payments under RUB 1,000 without entering the PIN code. Transaction services are provided by Petrocommerce Bank.
Alfa Bank, Moscow Industrial Bank, Petrocommerce Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, Russian Standard Bank, and Citibank are currently issuing PayPass cards. For more details on the MasterCard contactless technology, please visit the following website: www.paypass.ru
Ilya Riaby, MasterCard’s Head in Russia: “The MasterCard PayPass contactless payment technology provides new benefits both to cardholders, and commercial organizations deploying the innovation, making the payment process faster and more convenient. This technology has already been successfully introduced in many countries, and we are currently working on issuing more cards with the MasterCard PayPass contactless technology in Russia. We are delighted that tickets for Aeroexpress – which provides services popular among both Russian travellers and visitors to the country – can now be purchased with one touch of MasterCard, using PayPass technology.”
